Volunteers Needed at Center for Constitutional Rights for Bush
Admin FOIA litigation
-Help disclose the US Government's abuse and torture of detainees abroad
-Hold the Bush Administration accountable for its treatment of detainees
abroad
-Review recently released governmental documents discussing its " War on
Terror"
Volunteers are needed to join the Center for Constitutional Rights' efforts
to hold the Bush Administration accountable for its policies and treatment
of detainees in Guantanamo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. As part of ongoing
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation, the Center for Constitutional
Rights (CCR) receives thousands of military, CIA, and FBI documents
discussing their policies and treatment of detainees abroad. We need your
help in reviewing these documents and identifying key information.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
As the litigation continues, more and more documents are produced by the
government. At times, over 10,000 pages are produced at one time.
Unfortunately, CCR staff has not had sufficient time and resources to
review all the documents immediately. As a volunteer, you will be called
when documents are produced and need to be reviewed. Along with other
volunteers, you will review the released governmental documents to help
identify critical information that can be publicly disclosed to media in an
attempt to hold the Bush Administration accountable for their actions
abroad.
If you are interested in joining forces with CCR to help disclose torture
and abuse committed by the US government, please contact Marc Krupanski at:

BACKGROUND:
Ever since the Bush Administration launched it's "War on Terror" fears,
accusations, and evidence of detainee abuse by US authorities have grown.
The grim images of humiliated and tortured detainees in Abu Ghraib prison
shocked the world. As a result, demands to hold the Bush Administration
accountable for such policies and practices have escalated.
CCR is a plaintiff in a FOIA lawsuit to obtain documents that discuss
treatment and abuse of detainees in Afghanistan, Iraq and the detention
center at Guantanamo Bay from various departments and branches of the US
Government (e.g., Department of Defense, Central Intelligence Agency,
Federal Bureau of Investigation).
