* August-September, Community Hearings to counter the Republican-led House
hearings being held this summer linking border militarization to immigration
control:
NNIRR with members and allies in the Rights Working Group are organizing a
series community hearings in different states. NNIRR with Coalicion de
Derechos Humanos, community hearing and mobilization in Yuma, Arizona, and a
proposed one in Los Angeles, CA, also on August 14. Contact: Arnoldo

* September 4: National day of action for immigrant rights, September 4,
Labor Day.

* September 12-15: NNIRR convening and organizing community mobilizations to
