The Empowering Women of Color Conference Planning Committee
SEEKING POTENTIAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR THE
2007 CONFERENCE PLANNING!
(all students, staff, faculty and community members are welcome to apply)
We are looking for SOCIALLY-CONSCIOUS, ENERGETIC people committed to
EMPOWERING WOMEN OF COLOR in all sectors of society; people with
TECHNICAL/CLERICAL/ORGANIZING SKILLS who will help make our 22nd annual
conference a success!
WHAT IT TAKES:
Committee membership is on a volunteer-basis (there is no monetary
compensation).
Possible tasks range from: brainstorming possible themes and keynote
speakers to securing workshop presenters and conducting community
outreach.
We meet once a week until March of 2007 to plan our annual conference and
we require a consecutive 6-month time-commitment from our members.

An opportunity to network with prominent Bay Area & national social
justice organizations
Contributing to a historical event (EWOCC is the longest-running women
of color conference in the country)
