Today, November 8, 2006, the UN General Assembly once again voted
overwhelmingly to urge the United States to end the trade embargo (el
bloqueo) against Cuba: 183 to 4 (the U.S., Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau)
with one abstention (Micronesia). The total number is one higher than it
has ever been. There are 192 UN members. In 2005 and 2004, the same three
countries voted with Washington and the same country abstained.
