"Since I have become involved in the Student Hurricane Network
nothing has made me more proud than to be part of a national
movement to work along side of the people of the Gulf Coast, and
help them rebuild, in a way that the  democrats haven't a year later."
                              Anamaria Segura, Fordam Law School

More than 500 law students from 28 law schools are heading south
to the hurricane-affected areas of Louisiana and Mississippi.  The
Student Hurricane Network, a national association of law students
dedicated to helping communities affected by Hurricanes Katrina
and Rita, is matching these law students with legal nonprofits.
These students will help address hurricane survivor's pressing
legal problems, ranging from criminal justice, housing workers'
rights government benefits, and environmental justice.
