Law students, lawyers and Katrina survivors are coming from around the country to participate in the MatchMakers for Justice Project (M4J) in New Orleans Louisiana. M4J is a project of the Student Hurricane Network that helps displaced residents help themselves by connecting residents with legal rights resources.
The M4J program pairs selected law students with displaced residents and will provide ongoing support to help resolve the resident?s post-Katrina challenges. Law students provide remote support and assistance to lawyers and residents dealing with a wide range of legal issues.
Attached please find the Law Student Application. It is our hope that you will circulate this widely to your law student group and general law student general body. All applications need to be received no later than January 20, 2007. Please see application for more details.
