Support Vietnam's Agent Orange Victims in their Suit against Dow Chemical and other Chemical Companies

Vietnamese people and their children affected by Agent Orange are suing the companies who profited from manufacturing these chemicals. The argument against the dismissal of their lawsuit is being heard in Federal Court on June 18, 2007 in NYC. CCR filed an amicus brief in support of the case.

The Facts:

* 3 million Vietnamese people and tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers are affected by Agent Orange - a chemical weapon used by the U.S. government during the war.
* Agent Orange causes cancers and birth defects in hundreds of thousands of children.
* Agent Orange continues to poison the soil and natural environment of Vietnam. There has been absolutely no environmental remediation since the chemicals were sprayed during the Vietnam War.
* U.S. veterans and victims from New Zealand and Great Britain have been compensated but Vietnamese victims have not received a dime.
